Process flow

Five stages, on the record

  1. 01

    Protection requested

Seller requests protection on the order. We review the sale, the listing and both parties before terms are issued.

    SellerReviewed within 1 business day

    • We verify identity status, trading history and listing record on both sides.
    • The item is re-checked against recent comparable sales for pricing sanity.
    • Either party may withdraw at this stage at no cost.
  2. 02

    Approved & terms issued

We approve the protection and issue the buyer a secure funding link with the agreed amount and terms.

Our deskFunding link valid for 72 hours

    • The agreement states item, serial or cert, total, fee split and inspection window.
    • Both parties confirm the shipping method and whether concierge authentication is added.
    • The listing is locked so terms cannot change mid-deal.
    • If the buyer does not fund within 72 hours the protection lapses at no cost.
  3. 03

    Buyer funds held

Funds are held in a segregated account. The seller is cleared to ship — capital is never released early.

BuyerShip within 2 business days of clearance

    • Funds are never mixed with operating funds.
    • The seller is notified 'cleared to ship' — never ship before that notice.
    • Shipment must be tracked, signature-required and insured to full sale value.
    • The seller uploads tracking plus photographs of the item and the packed parcel.
  4. 04

    In transit & inspection

The piece ships to the buyer, or to our vault for authentication where concierge was added. The buyer inspects on delivery.

    Specialist48-hour inspection from confirmed delivery

    • Concierge routes the piece through our vault for physical verification before onward shipping.
    • The buyer accepts or opens a case inside the 48-hour window.
    • No response inside 48 hours is treated as acceptance and funds auto-release.
    • Any case freezes the funds immediately — nothing releases while it is open.
  5. 05

    Funds released

Inspection passes and the funds are released to the seller, with a receipt archived for both parties.

Our deskPayout within 1 business day of acceptance

    • The protection fee is deducted at release and the receipt is emailed to both sides.
    • The order is marked complete and recorded on both trust profiles.
    • Signed disclaimers and the inspection record are archived with the receipt.
Coverage

What protection covers

Funds held, never fronted

The seller ships only after the buyer's money is confirmed and held. Neither party is exposed to the other's good faith.

Authenticated before release

With concierge added, our desk verifies serials, hallmarks, cert data and condition against the listing before the piece reaches the buyer.

48-hour inspection window

Buyers get two full days from delivery to examine the piece and raise a case. Funds stay frozen until the window closes.

Insured, signature-required transit

Every protected shipment is tracked, signature-required and insured to full sale value. Lost parcels are claimed, not argued over.

Verified counterparties

Protection is available only between vetted parties who have completed identity verification.

Full audit trail

Every state change, message and photograph is timestamped and retained, so a case is decided on the record.
